Job Summary:
The Information Security Analyst plays a vital role in the day to day monitoring and protection of the Episcopal Health Services network and systems. They are responsible for integrating and utilizing multiple security programs and resources, such as NDR/EDR (Network Detection and Response / Endpoint Detection and Response), SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response), and email security tools.
Working closely with the Operations and Applications teams, the Information Security Analyst II ensures the effective implementation of security measures while maintaining the uptime and availability of systems. They collaborate with these teams to proactively identify potential vulnerabilities, assess risks, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization's critical assets.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security, IT Infrastructure, Compliance, or related field
- Understanding of enterprise IT Infrastructure & networks
- Strong understanding of information security principle, including risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response
- Proficient understanding of virtualization technologies
- Experience administering and securing cloud environments, such as Google Workspace and vSphere on AWS
- Knowledge of common scripting languages is a plus (python, powershell, yaml, json, etc)
- Experience implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) and authentication standards including SAML and API authentication management
- Familiarity with current identity access management procedures and workflow, and the ability to adhere to them
- Experience with firewalls a plus
- Ability to oversee, develop, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
