Information Security Analyst
Location: Danbury, CT
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 per year, plus full benefits and paid relocation
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join their team in Danbury, CT. This hands-on role is vital for ensuring the security and integrity of data across both on-premises and cloud environments. The role requires a strong technical/infrastructure background and is fully on-site, with work Monday to Thursday in-office and remote flexibility on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Implementation: Apply and maintain the Center for Internet Security (CIS) Controls framework to ensure robust security protocols.
- Vulnerability Management: Oversee risk categorization, evaluation, and remediation of vulnerabilities to prevent incidents.
- System Audits: Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with security standards.
- AI Integration: Leverage AI models for enhanced data security strategies.
- Collaboration: Work with IT teams to embed security practices in the development lifecycle.
- Training: Provide guidance and training to IT staff on cybersecurity best practices.
- System Security Plan (SSP): Assist with updates and reviews.
- Tools Development: Implement and manage firewalls, patching, encryption, data leakage protection systems, and vulnerability scanning.
- Incident Response: Serve in an on-call rotation to address emergencies, outages, or cyber incidents.
- Security Enhancements: Identify and close security gaps through proactive monitoring and controls improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Experience: 5–7 years in cybersecurity or infrastructure roles.
- Technical Expertise:
- Managing Rapid7 and NextGen AV systems.
- Running AI models for security enhancement.
- Implementing security frameworks like CIS and NIST.
- Network security tools such as switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Knowledge of EDR, DLP, SIEM, and IAM systems.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Prior exposure to HIPAA or FDA-regulated environments is a plus.
