Summary
This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. The Information Assurance Systems Engineer provides systems engineering and architecture support in the areas of architecture and standards, systems engineering integration, evaluation and testing, systems engineering implementation, and application services to a cryptologic program.
Responsibilities
You will recommend network and security architectures for the underlying infrastructure on which the customer will develop, test, and operate lifecycle of physical production from ordering through production and distribution. You will likewise analyze user requirements, concept of operations, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirement specifications. The IA SE will assist in developing system requirements and functional requirements and derive lower-level requirements from higher-level allocated requirements. They will employ basic information assurance mechanisms and security mechanism technology (passwords, cryptography, discretionary access control, mandatory access control, hashing, key management, etc.). You will perform systems engineering activities and assist in the preparation of work products in Technical Process Areas associated with ISO/IEC 15288, develop system architecture and system design documentation and develop derived requirements for Information Assurance Services (confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation).
Requirements
This position requires an active TS//SCI clearance and poly. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 6 years of systems engineering experience. Note: A High School Diploma or GED plus 10 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable. A Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience. A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field (See Note 1) or a related discipline (See Note 2) from an accredited college or university plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience.
Experience coordinating development projects and analyzing design and implementation alternatives, tradeoffs, and recommendations. Analyze functional, system, and non-functional requirements, data flows, and dependencies, Architecture experience (DoDAF) and able to work within a team setting to complete assigned tasks within expected schedule to complete. Must be flexible and easily adaptable within a dynamic work environment that may require surge efforts.
