Industrial Purchasing Agent - Industrial Technical Services

We are looking for a journeyman electrician ready to take their career to the next level as our in-house purchasing agent!

The Electrical Construction Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring all necessary materials and services for construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and quality compliance by managing supplier relationships, monitoring inventory levels, and collaborating with project teams to meet project deadlines and budget constraints; essentially acting as the primary point of contact for all construction project purchasing needs. They must demonstrate an unwavering commitment to support and execute the Industrial Technical Services Mission, Core Values, and protect the One-Team culture along with the processes and procedures developed to ensure excellence in all we do.

Your electrical knowledge will be tested as you are identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, creating procurement plans, analyzing bids, issuing purchase orders, managing returns and credits, monitoring inventory levels, working closely with project managers, construction managers, and foremen to understand project requirements and ensure timely material availability, coordinating building and ground maintenance, maintaining our fleet, overseeing tool inventories, and tracking rental equipment. We would prefer that you have at least five years of progressive experience as a journeyman electrician in industrial construction working in chemical plants, refineries, and/or pulp and paper industry. Knowledge of the sequencing of work and project schedules, construction practices, materials, and industry standards. Experience with project management tools and software is a plus. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are required.
