Basic Job Functions:
The basic functions of this role for the successful candidate are:

• Loading building materials and components using standard and heavy duty forklifts particularly Hyster models.
• Assure all parts are accounted for and properly marked and staged for loading.
• Load all material onto flatbed trailers.
• Inspect all material for damage prior to loading on trailers
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections.
• Responsible for housekeeping, cleanliness, of the loading area.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Safety is the most important part of all jobs; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.  Perform all other duties, as assigned.

•  Must have the ability to achieve a forklift certification or have acquired past certification.
• Must be able to work flex hours as the need arises, including working on a different shift.

• Attention to Detail — Thorough in accomplishing tasks, no matter how small they may be, and taking care to make sure that expectations are met.
• Teamwork - Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal.

• Experience operating heavy machinery other than warehouse forklifts.
• Prior shipping and/or receiving experience.
