Weekend Shift - Industrial Painters and Painter Helpers for our Price, Utah facility.
Schedule: Friday - Sunday, 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

What You Will Do
Industrial Painters are responsible for using a variety of tools to both prepare a surface for painting and for painting the objects’ surface. Objects painted are complex large steel structures such as buildings, skids, E-houses, a variety of fabricated parts and components. The painter must plan out the job to assure complete surface coverage at the level of thickness designated in the job specifications and using approved standards.
$18.00/hr. - $32.00/hr. DOQ

Paint Preparation
- Removes paint and finishes; prepares surfaces for application of paint, other finishes, or specialized surfaces, coverings or coatings.
- Finishes, patches and repairs surfaces as needed, including emergency repairs.
- Sand-blast items, components, buildings to be painted.
- Wash, clean all surfaces.
- Mask, prep, buildings, parts, skids
Paint
- Identifies characteristics of surfaces to be coated and ensures proper preparation and application of coating.
- Mixes and matches paints, and other finishes; prepares materials and equipment used for a variety of applications.
- Applies various coatings including epoxy’s, enamels, urethanes, paints, varnishes, stains lacquers to a variety of surfaces using high volume, low pressure airless, and conventional paint equipment.
- Checks for quality during the course of a job to ensure coating is applied according to specifications and to reduce re-work.
Equipment/Safety
- Operates a variety of power and hand tools and equipment, including applicators, sandblasting and pressure washing equipment.
- Maintains painting equipment such as hoses, pumps, and pressure tanks, spray guns, paint booth, etc.
- Wears appropriate personal protective equipment as indicated by the assignment. This may include head socks, respirators, protective disposable suits, face shields, gloves and the like.

What You Will Do
Painter Helperswill provide labor to assist daily operations focused in the Paint Department.
$18.00/hr. - $22.00/hr. DOQ
Essential Functions:
Other Duties May Be Assigned.
- Prepare equipment to be painted by cleaning, washing, applying caulk, taping, masking, wiping, vacuuming, hanging, etc.
- Lift and hang pieces on a rack to be cleaned and painted.
- Operate a pressure washer.
- Operate various sizes and makes of forklifts.
- Operate an overhead crane.
- Wear a respirator.
- Dress and clean surfaces, re-tap holes, paint, to OEM condition
- Provide assistance in the final assembly department by assembling and installing electrical components.
- Disassemble, clean, and repair equipment.
- Operate a sandblaster to further prep the equipment for paint or to remove old paint.
- Keep work area clean and organized by practicing good housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Painter Helper
- High School Diploma preferred plus 1-month related experience.
- Experience with various hand tool.
- Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Time management skills that keep production flowing to meet due dates.
- Must be detailed oriented and committed to producing quality work.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers, supervisors, management, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Industrial Painter
- Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and safety procedures of the painting trade
- Two-year's experience as an industrial painter, one year training or education in painting at a recognized trade school or apprenticeship program preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to determine painting needs and methods to meet them.
- Read and implement painting blueprints/ plan specifications.
- Ability to meet expected quality painting requirements.
- Follow oral and written instructions.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Work at heights up to 20 feet
- Must be able to pass a pulmonary function test.
- Able to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds; Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Color Vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus; Frequently stand; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
