RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deburr, wash, and prepare all cylinders and components for paint
- Paint all cylinders with sprayer with various types of coatings: primers, epoxy paint, CARC paint
- Prepare cylinders for painting by removing old paint, rust, grease, dirt and other debris.
- Mask and protect parts that are not to be painted
- Mix paint according to manufacturer’s specifications
- Inspect painted cylinders for quality of workmanship, noting and runs, sags, and unpainted areas and corrects as needed
- Operate all equipment in a safe manner in accordance with company policies
- Maintain and wears all PPE in accordance with company policies
- Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management immediately
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop clean and organized
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications/experience requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to prioritize jobs.
- Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Mechanical background
- Ability to read basic blueprints.
- Able to read a tape measure and calipers
- Prior industrial painting experience is a must
- CARC painting experience preferred

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
