Paint Prepper

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team in building a world-class product! The Paint Prepper position is crucial in our paint department, requiring experience in sanding and buffing paint surfaces. Ideal candidates are experienced auto body preppers and painters, skilled in preparing high-quality custom displays for auto shows, trade shows, lobbies, and museum properties. We also welcome candidates with formal education in auto body collision/repair or limited work experience in this field. The ideal candidate is organized, able to prioritize tasks, and effective in managing their workload. While on-the-job experience is beneficial, we are open to training promising individuals. 

The position is 1st shift and temp-to-hire. Ability to flex to 2nd shift is a plus.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Applying Bondo
• Mixing epoxies
• Sanding and preparing surfaces for painting
• Applying mud
• Mixing, matching, and applying various paints, including Urethanes, Base Coats, Clear Coats, Conversion Varnishes, and Stains
• Willingness to work overtime
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, lift, and stand for over 8 hours a day

Qualifications:

Requirements for Painters and Preppers:

• Exceptional attention to detail in finishing work
• Proactive and motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Capability to work effectively in a team environment

Requirements for Painters:

• Proficiency with spray equipment and preparation booths
• Experience in finish painting various substrates, including steel, aluminum, wood, plastics, laminate, fiberglass, and automotive bodies and components is a plus
