Industrial Mechanic needed
Food Industry – Maspeth Queens, NY
First shift. Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm, Fridays/Sundays 8am - 1pm.
Excellent salary and benefits.
Salary ranges between $22 - $26+/hour depending on experience. GUARANTEED 40 HOURS PER WEEK plus 10 hours OT WEEKLY. (Additional OT always available.)
Raises / Salary review after new hire probationary period

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all mechanical equipment and surrounding facilities without supervision or assistance.
We are looking for candidates with experience in the food or pharmaceutical industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
Apply problem-solving skills to daily tasks.
Report issues that cannot be fixed to the Maintenance Manager.
Troubleshoot, repair, and restore equipment to working condition.
Set up and take apart machinery and equipment as needed.
Repair or replace broken parts on machinery.
Handle various general building maintenance tasks.
Follow all safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.
Use electrical skills to identify and fix equipment issues.
Carry out any other assigned duties.
