Principal Accountabilities
- Completing predictive and preventive maintenance measures (including data entry)
- Repairing and modifying equipment and systems, inspecting buildings, grounds and equipment utilized by the facility
- Determining immediate and long range needs for maintenance and repair work entering work orders utilizing maintenance computer programs
- Operating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools, preventative maintenance technology tools, etc.
- Completing, signing and returning work orders to the Maintenance Supervisor complete with: work description, symptoms, as found, as left, start/finish time, labor hours, deficiencies, delays, and job plan feedback
- Perform work as assigned by their supervisor
- Identify follow-up work required, work to improve the condition of all facility departments,
- Work as a team member with a positive attitude, help promote and communicate maintenance and reliability to the organization, and
- Perform other duties including housekeeping, attending safety training, and attending communication meetings.
- Operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts
- Following all Food Safety (HACCP), & GMPs policies
- Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Previous Maintenance experience
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Cargill experience
- 2 year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance/Mechanics
- Experience using work order systems
- Experience with the use of precision tools, fasteners, piping/fittings & valves
- Experience cutting and welding
- Experience working with packing, sealing or gasket products
- Work history in the last 12 months
