Hours are 6pm-6am on the same rotating 2 week schedule.(Week 1 M,T,F,S / Week 2 Su, W, Th).
Chemical MFG experience and a fairly stable work history.
Run lines/ automation - will be operating machines vs.hand filling
Forklift experience
GMP experience (preferred)
2 round interviews: virtual and then on-site

Candidates Profile
Education
AA in life science area with applicable experienceworking in a similar environment
OR high school diploma with some chemical courseworkand/or experience working in a similar environment
Work Experience
2-3 years of working in a similar environment preferred.
Job specific Competencies & Skills
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to operate powered industrial equipment, Reactorsystems, Industrial centrifuges and dryers, Ion exchange columns, and DCSsystems. SAP, Word, Excel, Access, experience a plus.
Knowledge of product flow throughout the manufacturingprocess.
Ability to effectively communicate in a professionalmanner with all levels of staff both orally and written.
Ability to work in a group setting.
Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
Ability to work quickly and adjust to changing prioritiesin a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated problem-solving and team building skillswith the ability to work with a diverse group of people.
Essential Job Functions:
Ability to cover floor operations when supervisor is outor away from the office. Communicate the status of operations to shiftsupervision
Engages in problem solving and performance managementwithin the business area the team leader is responsible for
Assists Supervisor to maintain workflow in department
Provides training as needed for new personnel or asneeded
Maintains high-quality work environment by sharingknowledge and experiences so team members are motivated to perform at theirhighest level
Keeps supervisor informed of potential and/or existingconcerns
Leads by example in performing core manufacturing jobelements by meeting or exceeding performance expectations, following health andsafety guidelines, job accuracy, and following company and regulatoryrequirements.
Participates in and supports the development andimplementation of process improvement projects including test cycles tochallenge current practices, improve system efficiency, enhance customerservice, and maintain compliance
Troubleshoot problems within the department includingroot cause analysis and development of solutions to avoid future occurrences
Demonstrates working knowledge of department operatingsystems.
Maintains orders, work areas and stock locations in asafe, clean, and organized manner.
Reports unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to anymember of management
Miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned

Additional Local Needs:
Production Shift work could include: 12 hour shifts,night schedules with competitive shift differential, and/or rotating shiftsworking during various days of the week
Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 55 poundswhile wearing personal protective equipment, including respirators, for anextended time. Ability to move 300%2B pound drums of material, assists availableas needed

Environmental Conditions:
General Office Environment: Noise level in officeenvironment is generally quiet.
Manufacturing Environment: Occasionally works near movingmechanical parts. Is regularly required to wear appropriate protective gear,(hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes,respirator) and other personal protection equipment PPE to protect themselvesfrom toxic or corrosive chemicals in the forms of liquids, solids, vapors orairborne particles. The work area may occasionally be wet, humid, abnormallyhot or cold.
Physical Requirements:
If performing office duties: Employee is required to sit,stand, hear, and use hands to operate all office equipment. Employee must viewcomputer monitors for long periods of time. Vision requirements are closevision and the ability to adjust focus. Employee occasionally will be requiredto lift, generally no more than 55 pounds.
If performing warehouse/distribution duties: Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit,stand, walk, reach
above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch forlong periods of time. The employee must be able to talk, hear, taste and smell.The employee must regularly lift 55 pounds and/or move 300%2B pounds withoutadditional employee assistance. Employee may be required to move more than 300%2Bpounds with assistance. Specific vision requirements of this job include closevision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and theability to adjust focus. Regularly uses manufacturing equipment, poweredindustrial equipment, phones, computers, computer monitors and alloffice/laboratory equipment.
