Our manufacturing teams are looking to add a dedicated and passionate Maintenance Technician to our world class team, right here in Northeast Ohio. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing basic to advanced equipment maintenance tasks and facility services with minimal supervision according to an outlined plan. This is a FIRST SHIFT opportunity!
Job Description:
• Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance of all vehicles and associated equipment including forklifts, man lifts, and trucks.
• Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance of plant equipment including but not limited to manual machine tools, CNC machines, power tools, hand tools, saws, presses, lifting devices, overhead cranes, and compressed air system.
• Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance of facility buildings and grounds, including but not limited to: HVAC systems, plumbing and sewer, lighting, gates, fencing, office furniture.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild and repair a wide variety of manufacturing equipment
• Perform daily maintenance tasks for the machines
• Record parts or materials used and requisition new parts or materials as necessary
• Support staff in moving and organizing production and office areas
• Provide support and assist with project work directed by the plant leadership team or project leads
Requirements:
• Intermediate to advanced ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical problems on various production equipment
• Must be capable of reading and understanding electrical schematics and diagrams
• Basic working knowledge of programmable ladder logic (PLC)
• Electrician skills including correct wiring practices, replacement of electrical components including push buttons, breakers, motor starters and field sensors
• Ability to perform and communicate electronic, mechanical and hydraulic principles used in work assignments
• Ability to operate fork lifts and scissor lifts
• Ability to interpret parts manuals
• Proficient in electrical test and diagnostic equipment
• Must be able to read blueprints, CAD drawings, sketches, written instructions, and interpret data
• Experience in job shop environment with rapid changeovers and short cycle times a plus
