Shelby Materials is a ready mix concrete and aggregate supplier located in Central and South Central Indiana. Shelby Materials is looking for an intense and driven person who likes variety and working at a fast pace to fill a role in our Industrial Plant Maintenance department. We are looking for a person who delivers precise work and has the ability to handle tasks on their own to get the job done correctly and safely. If you feel you are more technically-oriented versus socially oriented person, but can still work productively with and through others, you will enjoy this maintenance role.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain Operation of Ready Mix Concrete Plants & Associated Machinery
• Occasional Early Mornings Required
• Overtime Required
• Daily Local Travel Involved - Work Vehicle Provided For Day Use
• Manage Locations Primarily North Indianapolis

Skills

Skills Needed Include:

• Be Able To Work With Minimal Direct Supervision,
• Mechanically Inclined Including: Power Transmissions, Conveyors, Controls, and Pneumatics
• Detail Oriented
• Welding Experience, Electrical Experience A Plus
• Troubleshoot Problems both Mechanical & Electrical
• Assertive/Persistent/Positive Attitude
• Flexible
• Communication Skills With Maintenance Team, Dispatchers, And Plant Personnel

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• Concrete/Aggregate Experience Preferred
• Understanding of Pneumatics and Automation Controls
• Construction Industry Preferred
• Minimum 2 years, preferred 5 years working in a mechanical or maintenance position.
• Basic welding and electrical knowledge preferred
