This full-time role will see you working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving our industrial equipment. Responsibilities
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
1. Performing routine and preventive maintenance on all production and operating equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and longevity.
2. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems within the production machinery.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and associated control systems.
4. Responding to breakdowns and system failures, identifying the root cause, and implementing effective solutions.
5. Collaborating with the production team to understand and eliminate recurring equipment issues.
6. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, including lockout-tagout (LOTO), while carrying out duties.
7. Assisting in the design and installation of new systems or equipment.
8. Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance work performed.
9. Keeping up-to-date with the latest industrial maintenance techniques and technologies.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
2. Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs.
3. A strong understanding of safety protocols in an industrial environment.
4. The ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative solutions.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical colleagues.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. A high level of physical fitness, as this role involves lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
9. A relevant certification or diploma would be an advantage.
