Description | Our client is seeking a 3rd shift (11pm-7am, M-F) industrial maintenance technician with excellent attention to detail. Our ideal candidate will have a background in repairing manufacturing machinery. Our client operates on a rotating schedule that guarantees every other weekend off. Overtime hours are always available. |
Requirements | • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance tasks and answering trouble calls. • Troubleshoot problems with the use of schematics and wiring diagrams on motor and heater circuits ranging from low voltage to 480v three phase. • Remove and replace defective parts from equipment with the use of hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools. • Communicate effectively with the shift supervisor to prioritize repairs. • Make entries to the maintenance log explaining problems encountered, repairs made and parts used or needed. • Keep company tools put away and in working order. • Fabricate repair parts, machine guarding, mezzanines, etc. Using shop equipment. (Welders, plasma cutter, torch, grinder, etc.) • Good organizational skills with an ability to address multiple issues at once. • Effective communication skills in both spoken and written formats • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations and to other employees of the company. Must be able to understand safety rules, SOP’s, work instructions. |
Physical Requirements | • Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. several times per shift • Able to stand/walk for >80% of their shift. • Able to bend/crouch for >20% of their shift |
