Job Description:
The Industrial Maintenance Technician ensures the smooth operation of the manufacturing facilities. The primary responsibility is to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the buildings, machinery and equipment used in the production of PTFE plastics.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance tasks on buildings, and equipment used in the production of PTFE plastics.
- Ensure the efficient operation of machinery and mechanical systems by conducting routine maintenance on boilers, ovens, motors, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and production machinery.
- Identify mechanical issues by observing equipment in operation, listening for irregularities, and using diagnostic tools and testing instruments.
- Manage inventory levels of equipment, parts, and supplies by regularly checking stock and forecasting future needs.
- Uphold safety and best practices by maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to established procedures, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory management.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for the procurement of spare parts and specialized equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or relevant vocational training is highly desirable.
- Five plus years of proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic project/tasks management skills.
- Cost conscious with a buy vs. repair analysis mindset.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools for repairs and adjustments.
- Basic computer skills required. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and provide clear instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs., climb, bend, stand, walk repetitively throughout the day
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime, as required.

- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds frequently.
