Industrial Maintenance Support Technician

Position Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Support Technician will assist the Industrial Maintenance Technician in performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for CNC machines, conveyor systems, automated inventory systems, and general facility needs. This entry- to mid-level role is designed for individuals with a foundational understanding of maintenance practices who are eager to develop their technical skills while supporting a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with Equipment Maintenance:

• Support the maintenance and repair of CNC machines, including Okuma models, under the guidance of the Industrial Maintenance Technician.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.

Support for Conveyor and Inventory Systems:

• Provide basic maintenance and operational checks for conveyor systems and automated inventory systems.
• Work alongside senior technicians to troubleshoot minor issues with sensors, motors, and controls.

Facility Maintenance:

• Perform routine tasks such as changing filters, replacing light fixtures, and addressing basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Conduct inspections of facility systems and report any issues requiring advanced repairs to the senior maintenance team.

Preventive Maintenance:

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as assigned, including lubrication, filter changes, and equipment cleaning.
• Document activities and report completed tasks to the Industrial Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Supervisor.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols when handling tools, equipment, and chemicals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe environment for all employees.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work closely with production teams to minimize disruptions during maintenance activities.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment as needed.

Qualifications

·

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance is a plus.

·

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in industrial or facilities maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to CNC machinery, conveyor systems, or automated equipment is desirable but not required.

Technical Skills:

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in maintenance and repair work.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in various industrial environments.
• Willingness to work in confined spaces or at heights when necessary.

Soft Skills: Team-oriented mindset, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow within the role.

Salary Range

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour with the opportunity for overtime when available. The offered rate may vary based on factors such as experience, education, market condition and location.
