Industrial Maintenance Mechanic at Pro Talent Group

Pro Talent Group, a division of MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, in partnership with a leading local client, is hiring for full-time Maintenance Technician position in the Avon, Indiana area!

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 6 AM - 6 PM
• 2nd Shift: 6 PM - 6 AM
• 2-2-3 rotating schedule

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in the operations department, focusing on repairing and maintaining a diverse range of processing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Job Responsibilities:

• Adhere to safety and food safety standards (OSHA, GMPs, etc.).
• Champion the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment issues, including PLCs, VFDs, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Complete work orders efficiently and maintain detailed records.
• Assist with equipment changes and startup processes.
• Manage parts inventories and maintain lists for reordering.
• Embrace Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and participate in cross-functional projects.

Job Requirements:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience or 5 years in a related trade.
• Experience in food processing/manufacturing is beneficial.
• Skilled in using machine tools, hand tools, and electrical troubleshooting equipment.
• Able to read and understand specifications and blueprints.
• Must own hand tools; specialized tools provided by the company.
