Industrial (HVAC) Process Technician - Houston, TX - Hunton Services - The Hunton Group

Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group in Houston, TX (www.huntongroup.com), is seeking to hire an experienced Industrial Process HVAC Technician with an expertise in servicing, repairing, and maintaining Industrial (HVAC) Process Technician in and around the Greater Houston, TX area to include Brazoria County (Angleton, Clute, Freeport, Lake Jackson). Ideal candidate must have previous experience servicing up to 2500 Ton in various types of Centrifugal, Reciprocating, Pumps, and Skids, and will need to manage healthy customer relationships, have professional and effective communication skills, be proactive in conflict resolution and be safety conscious.

Responsibilities:

• Service knowledge of Trane and other OEM absorbers
• Will be required to perform preventive maintenance; log machine, pull samples, and add chemicals as needed to maintain optimal performance
• Perform maintenance contract inspections and annuals
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to cooling water, steam, purge pumps, and chemical imbalances
• Knowledge of pump removal and rebuild, replacing bearings, seals, and checking impeller condition
• Startup and shutdown of Absorbers

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Texas driver's license with a safe driving record (no violations within the past 3 years)
• Tech certifications and Factory training from other OEM's is a plus
• Must have a strong systems knowledge of Airside, Waterside and Controls
• Ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus

Education and/or Experience Required:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years' experience servicing Trane or other OEM chillers
• Universal EPA refrigerant certification
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC card
• Willing to work overtime as needed
