Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to clarify design specifications, and layout updates using AUTOCAD software
- Place and follow up purchase orders for new tooling and equipment to produce drawings
- Check design drawings to verify they're accurate and meet industry standards
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project reviews between departments and other stakeholders
- Create and follow up problem follow-up sheets to monitor and guide the completion of activities
Requirements:
- Extensive working knowledge of AUTOCAD software, 2D AND 3d, to be able to prepare technical drawings efficiently
- Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications
- Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate cross-functionally with architects, engineers, and other professionals
- Time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Knowledge of engineering practices and industry standards
- Advanced mathematical skills
- Ability to perform physical measurements to create layouts
- Experience with manufacturing tools and equipment to be able to support prototype pilot build constructions
- Availability to work OT and/or weekends as required per project deliverables
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office to perform analysis and prepare executive presentations
Desired skills:
- Previous manufacturing Automotive or Truck Industry Experience
- Bilingual English / Spanish
