About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and designs processes and operations to improve productivity and efficiencies in plant and production facilities.
- Develop and recommend layout proposals; establishes methods for maximum utilization of space and resources in a production environment.
- Analyze facility capacity, develop and capacity improvement plans.
- Monitor operations performance with an eye toward improving productivity and efficiency.
- Organize, lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams.
- May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.
- Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
- Conducts time measurement analysis, develop and implement most effective work sequence, standardized work (Process Capacity, Std Wrk Combination Table, Operator Balance Chart, Std Wrk Layout) for manufacturing processes.
- On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
- May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
- Partner with other functions for problem solving using DMAIC approach.
- Bachelors degree required in a related engineering discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Biomedical, etc)
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
