Key Duties/Programming Responsibilities: US Citizenship Required
*
* Process Improvement and Optimization:
* Lead and manage large-scale process improvement projects aimed at reducing waste, improving efficiency, and enhancing product quality.
* Conduct time studies, work measurements, and workflow analyses to identify inefficiencies, implement corrective actions and update SAP labor standards based on cycle time improvements. Rectify standards vs. time charging.
* Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategies (such as Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping) to improve plant performance.
* Project Leadership:
* Oversee and manage the engineering lifecycle for projects, from initial concept through design, testing, and implementation.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
* Drive continuous improvement projects related to automation, ergonomics, and cost reduction.
* Data Analysis and Modeling:
* Utilize data analytics to assess process performance, develop models to predict outcomes, and identify areas for improvement.
* Design simulations and create data-driven solutions for optimizing production flow, reducing cycle times, and improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
* Capacity Planning and Layout Design:
* Lead facility layout planning and design to optimize space utilization, material flow, and production capacity.
* Develop models to assess capacity and production requirements in alignment with business growth plans. Use SAP S4 inputs to ensure model inputs are correct and “real time” (initial development- bi annual reviews).
* Work with planning team to better utilize SAP for monthly demand consensus (capacity, equipment utilization, headcount requirements)
* Technology Implementation:
* Stay updated on the latest manufacturing technologies and best practices, such as Industry 4.0, automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
* Lead the implementation of technology upgrades and automation solutions to improve productivity and reduce costs.
* Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
* Develop and maintain standardized work instructions and operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality in production processes.
* Collaborate with production and quality teams to train personnel on new or updated procedures.
* Lean Six Sigma:
* Serve as the subject matter expert on lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies, driving data-driven problem solving and continuous improvement.
* Mentor and coach team members on process improvement methodologies, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
* Cost Reduction and Productivity Improvement:
* Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs through labor optimization, material usage, and process refinement.
* Lead initiatives to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and eliminate non-value-added activities.
* Collaboration and Leadership:
* Work closely with other engineering teams, production supervisors, and senior management to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
* Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams.
* Drive alignment between operational goals and long-term business objectives.
* KPI Management:
* Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, throughput, OEE, and production costs.
* Continuously review performance metrics and recommend improvements to meet or exceed targets.
* Setup internal KPIs to monitor key processes (Cure, machining, NDI, etc.)
Knowledge:
* Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Engineering with 4 years manufacturing experience preferred
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Collaborative Spirit and Willingness to Think Outside the Box
* Comfortability with learning and applying Statistical Analytics (Lean / Six Sigma green belt, Black belt preferred)
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD modeling software preferred.
