Location: York, PA
Type: Fulltime, Direct Hire
Hours: 6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30pm
Industrial Electrician Overview
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for wiring, troubleshooting, and complete thorough startup/testing of all the types of machinery and equipment manufactured and/or distributed by our client.
Industrial Electrician Responsibilities
- Builds electrical systems of machinery from shop packets and schematics under the supervision of a Senior Industrial Electrician.
- Drills and taps holes for mounting electrical components
- Performs various electrical calculations such as ohm's law, etc.
- Uses tools such as volt ohm amps meters, wire strippers, and soldering iron.
- Makes up wiring harnesses, installs conduit and pulls wires.
- Wires electrical equipment, cabinets, and other components.
- Communicates non-conformances and opportunities for improvement when schematics and shop packets need to be corrected.
- HS Diploma/GED
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in machine or industrial wiring
- Knowledge of and familiarity with codes such as NEC and OSHA regulations
