Job Details

Plan and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to job specifications and local electrical codes.
Test electrical systems and circuits using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure proper function and safety.
Inspect and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures, identifying any hazards or needed repairs.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools to locate and fix issues.
Follow blueprints or prepare sketches to determine the proper location of wiring, outlets, and equipment.
Install and repair conduit, pipes, and wiring, pulling insulated wires to complete electrical circuits.
Work with electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, motors, and other equipment, ensuring proper connections and grounding.
Direct or train other workers in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
Maintain and update records of inspections, repairs, and installations, including cost estimates for materials and services.
Perform physical tasks such as digging trenches, lifting heavy equipment, and working at heights to install or repair electrical systems.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Industrial Electrician I: 1-5 years of experience in the industrial electrical field.
Industrial Electrician II: 5+ years of experience in the industrial electrical field.
Certifications: None specifically required, but maintaining a valid electrician’s license or identification card may be required by local regulations.
