We are looking for the right person to join our team as an Electrical Estimator. Is that you? If so, we want to talk to you!
In this position, the Estimator would be involved in the entire estimating process from securing and maintaining bid documents, following specifications, performing takeoff, requesting quotes from suppliers/subcontractors, and meeting all summary requirements for proposal submission to Owners/General Contractors.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and thorough quantity take-offs and prepare accurate and detailed estimates with current software in accordance with company standards.
- Confirm bid document requirements are complete, create detailed scope letters with company's standard proposal, ensure vendor interface for superior bid coverage, and mentor interns and individuals seeking bid knowledge.
- Conduct site visits as a part of the estimating process, as well as pursue training and education to increase your effectiveness as an estimator.
- Assume a proactive role in negotiated work and prepare and participate as necessary in transfer of successful project documents to operations staff.
- Ensure compliance of all work in accordance with NEC/NFPA standards at the minimum

What it takes
- 1-3 years' experience in contracting environment
- A graduate of a technical school or completed Internship Program preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering or Construction Management is a plus
- Basic working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft office
