What You Will Do
As an Industrial Carpentry Maintenance Technician 2, you'll provide technical support for equipment, machinery, and facilities. Your responsibilities include performing routine preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, part replacements, and inspections, as well as intermediate tasks like precision adjustments and delicate part replacements. You'll also handle corrective maintenance, involving repairs and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations for internal customers. Key responsibilities include:

What You Will Do
As an Industrial Carpentry Maintenance Technician 2, you'll provide technical support for equipment, machinery, and facilities. Your responsibilities include performing routine preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, part replacements, and inspections, as well as intermediate tasks like precision adjustments and delicate part replacements. You'll also handle corrective maintenance, involving repairs and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations for internal customers. Key responsibilities include:
Corrective Maintenance Activities:
- Diagnose and repair issues to ensure optimal working conditions.
- Update supervisor on problems found during repairs to maintain high service levels.
- Assist Maintenance Technician 1 with corrective tasks as needed.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to program.
- Report issues discovered during preventive maintenance to supervisor for resolution.
- Recommend improvements or adjustments to the Preventive Maintenance Program.
- Handle requests efficiently and communicate with requesters to gather necessary details.
- Track and manage materials, spare parts, and chemicals to ensure timely delivery.
- Support special projects including equipment installation, upgrades, layout changes, refurbishments, and design modifications.
- Utilize A3 tools for root cause analysis and lead kaizen events to address and resolve issues.
- Required Degree: High school Diploma, or GED equivalent.
- Experience: 3-5 years relevant experience.
- Ability to read a tape measure and use leveling instruments.
- Experience using hand/power tools and power saws/drills.
- Basic carpentry knowledge.
- Experience with drywall repair/wall construction, patching/painting, and door replacement/repair (hinges, closers, latches).
- Carpentry or Construction Apprenticeship a bonus.
- Proficient in basic math (fractions, decimals, area, volume, etc.) and sq foot calculations.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
- Experience estimating time and materials for jobs.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to climb and work off ladders, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs.
