General Job Summary:
Iowa Lakes Community College has received a grant in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy and ENERGYWERX to conduct energy and safety audits with business partners. This is a part-time position (27.5 hrs/wk) located on the Estherville Campus. This position will be responsible for coordinating programs and operations for partnerships and professional assessments for small to medium-sized manufacturers (SMM’s) in our territory for three years. The project coordinator serves as key personnel among department leadership, instructors, clients, and stakeholders to develop and coordinate quality assessments schedules, disseminate data, and report accordingly. Position is contingent upon continued grant funding.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in coordinating programs and activities in a professional setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff to successfully deliver assessments for SMM’s.
- Represent the College in a positive, professional manner.
- Must be enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated, and creative with demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
- Meet budget expectations.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with students, colleagues, staff, administrators, and other contacts.
- Must develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of office procedures, telephone techniques and appropriate equipment, and utilize correct English, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions or communications.
- Ability to efficiently perform tasks in an environment of frequent interruptions.
- Ability to assume responsibility, deal effectively with problems and exercise good judgment when making decisions.
- Possess strong human relations skills and the ability to effectively relate to diverse personalities.
- Ability to make public presentations that are effective and well received.
- Ability to access, utilize, input and retrieve information from a computer.
Special Demands: Sedentary to light work. Position involves sitting most of the time; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally (10-33%). Stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and carrying occasionally (10-33%). Walking, lifting, grasping and repetitive motion frequently (34-66%). Talking, hearing, and viewing various types of close visual work constantly (67-100%). Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and provide proof of insurance. Required to travel utilizing personal vehicle.
Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree preferred with a focus on sustainable energy, electrical, engineering technology, welding, or manufacturing with three years’ experience in a STEM field or, five years’ equivalent experience in the STEM field with a focus on manufacturing processes, safety, or sustainable energy practices.
Salary: $29.22 per hour
