Fourth Street Foods is rapidly growing Food Manufacturing company and is searching for a full-time strong, energetic, experienced, self-assured candidate for the position of HVAC Technician. To be part of our team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshooting in refrigeration compressors, condenser, pump, vessels / recirculatory, purge’s, evaporators / RMAU’s heat exchangers, and control valves / isolation valves while using the Original Manufacture’s guidelines.
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on refrigeration systems.
- Complete all required paperwork- temperature, pressure, oil level, chemical levels valves and gauges.
- Analyze malfunctions from performance and test equipment readings to determine appropriate repairs.
- Assist the Maintenance Engineer with the planning, scheduling and conduct of major work.
- Must be able to read blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Prevent injuries by following safety procedures GMPs, HACCP, PPE< Lock-Out Tag-Out
- Must be skilled in the use of electrical measuring instruments and computers.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on refrigeration and cooling equipment in accordance with preventative maintenance program.
- Acts as mechanical, technical, and operational, support to all refrigeration.
- Have the ability to adjust refrigeration systems’ pressure through adjustment of controls.
- Assure compliance to refrigeration standard set forth by maintenance management, State and Federal.
- Check all pumps, refrigeration rooms, and freezers.
- Submit reports as required by supervisor.
- Acts as EPA requires “refrigerant Manager” for CFC tracking, leak detection and reporting functions.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in commercial / industrial maintenance and repair refrigeration and cooling equipment
- 3 years Technical industrial Diploma after Secondary school / Upper- Intermediate Diploma two years after High School associate engineer specialized in HVAC&R
- Used to working environments that move quickly.
- EPA Type II or Universal
- Knowledge in plumbing and mechanics, along with electrical
- Must be able to lift safety regulation maximum.
- Licensed to purchase refrigerants.
- Works with all electrical components from disconnect throughout equipment.
- Accomplishes various projects utilizing design drawings, diagram, and specifications.
- Problem solving
- Candidate must possess flexible evening and/or overtime availability, including weekends.
- Must be able to work with others well.
