About the Job
JSG is seeking an experienced Indoor Air Quality Professional / Industrial Hygienist for a direct hire position in Canoga Park, CA.
The successful candidate will independently develop, implement, coordinate, and oversee complex indoor air quality programs and projects. They will have the expertise necessary to analyze complex indoor air quality or microbial data and provide assessment reports. Candidates will be required to write and edit detailed scientific reports for clients. They will have the ability to provide regulatory and scientific expertise, advice, guidance and interpretation to clients.
Asbestos and lead experience certification is a plus.
Education - Bachelor or Masters degree in engineering, environmental sciences or related field required, 3-5 years of progressive experience.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will:
- Proficiently perform assignments having the knowledge, skills and abilities and experience needed to carry out all aspects of completing IAQ studies.
- Exercise independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments.
- May receive instructions and guidance on unusual or complex problems and knows when to get others involved.
- Effectively utilize the proper resources to develop solutions and devise new approaches encountered in work assignments.
- Identify and eliminate unnecessary work and non-value added activities.
- Be proficient with MS Office and Outlook.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as a knowledge of building systems.
- Possess a current certification from a respectable IAQ/IEQ association (e.g., ACAC).
