The Team:
_The role will be part of the Fixed Income team within the Index Management and Production Group (IMPG) at S&P Global. The team is responsible for the production and management of a wide range of indices with a focus on municipal bond indices._
Responsibilities and Impact:
_As an Index Manager specializing in municipal bond market, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our municipal bond indices. Your demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and develop streamlined operational processes will ensure the continued excellence and improvement of our indices. The candidate will collaborate with internal teams to design and implement methodologies for Municipal bond indices, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Municipal bond index data, and monitoring market trends and performance of Municipal bond indices._
_You'll get the chance to create and execute new operational processes that boost efficiency and effectiveness in index management. You'll also collaborate with diverse teams to innovate and develop products that meet market demands, fostering business growth and bringing your ideas into reality._
• Build & maintain operational processes to streamline the index rebalancing process
• Conduct thorough research on corporate actions, new issuances, and other events affecting municipal bonds.
• Analyze and implement changes to municipal bond indices based on research findings.
• Collaborate with technology teams to design & implement technical solutions
• Maintain key relationships with clients and stakeholders to support the indices.
• Participate in the development of new municipal bond indices, including feasibility analysis and methodology development.
• Provide subject matter expertise on municipal bonds to internal and external stakeholders.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $68,093.00 to $119,473.25. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree required, focus in economics, finance, math or related fields preferred.
+ At least 3+ years of professional experience working with fixed income securities. Experience in asset management, trade operations or related roles is a plus.
+ A demonstrable understanding of fixed income securities.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
+ Demonstrated ability to create automated solutions to complex problems. Python or similar preferred.
+ Must be able to work independently on projects with a strong sense of initiative.
+ Must be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities on large data sets to solve problems in a timely and insightful manner.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate work done by multiple people and/or groups.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
+ Expertise in Municipal Fixed Income Securities
+ Advanced degree in a related field or CFA is a plus.
+ Experience working with index management or financial data services.
