About the Job
What an Inbuilding Construction Manager will be doing:
- A Sr. In-building Construction Manager is responsible for all technical aspects of the telecommunications equipment deployment and ASP management at assigned job/venues, including, but not limited to: ensuring the appropriateness of the site for deployment; recommending or selecting suppliers.
- Identifying and validating scope items with RF and suppliers; determining and managing the distribution of the equipment and materials necessary for the deployment; managing site access; planning and scheduling the installation and construction of the job/site, including setting project schedules, forecasting, and sequencing of work.
- Monitoring progress and milestones against schedule, including revising and updating project schedules; acting as the representative for venue review/approval of supplier deliverables, customer visits, government/customer inspections, and safety issues; conducting audits during build and through construction completion.
- Ensuring completion in accordance with company and customer standards, evaluating all punch list items and determining if construction is complete and acceptable; monitoring and managing budget; coordinating with and supporting Customer Project Managers; and delegating administrative tasks to support organizations, who provide support to the IBCM.
- The IBCM partners with / supports the Senior Construction Manager on complex jobs/sites, as needed. The IBCM also partners with the Remote Construction Manager.
- Oversee all technical aspects of telecom equipment deployment and ASP management at assigned venues, ensuring site readiness for deployment.
- Manage site access, equipment/material distribution, scheduling, and construction coordination.
- Ensure compliance with company and customer standards through audits, progress monitoring, and adjusting schedules as needed.
- Address any roadblocks or material deficiencies, reporting to senior managers and adjusting plans as required.
- Collaborate with the Senior Construction Manager and other teams for seamless project execution.
- Conduct safety audits, ensure adherence to safety standards, and guide construction teams accordingly.
- Provide training and mentorship to ASPs, RCMs, and others.
What we are looking in an Inbuilding Construction Manager:
- 7+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with expertise in in-building RAN systems (DOT, PDAS, ODAS).
- Proficiency in tools like iBwave software, Anritsu, ODTR fiber testing, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in managing construction projects, working with RF design teams, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Knowledge of site acquisition, zoning, permitting, and relevant industry standards.
- Basic understanding of contracts and budgets.
