Diesel Technician Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment for various heavy and compact machines.
- Performing repairs on equipment such as excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, and more.
- Scheduling maintenance work based on customer needs and requirements.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by responding in a timely, polite, and professional manner.
- Meeting or exceeding departmental objectives through diligent work and attention to detail.
- Collaborating with other service technicians and support staff to provide the best solutions.
Qualifications
- Experience working on heavy and compact equipment (referred to as "Yellow Iron" mechanics), such as excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, etc.
- Must have experience with diesel engines and hydraulics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in both mechanical and electrical domains.
- Customer-centric mindset with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Proven track record of performing timely repairs and maintenance.
