About the Agency:
Achievement Behavior Care (ABC) Services is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) home-base therapy agency. We are dedicated to the mission of connecting children with the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families with ABA tools, principals, and practices for continued success and independence during their school-aged years (We serve clients between the ages of 3 and 23 years of age). At the leadership of LCSWs and BCBAs, we have been learning and growing as an ABA agency since 2015. Presently, we are seeking ABA Behavioral Technicians (BTs) to join our network of dedicated ABA professionals, to provide direct ABA services to children with ASD, in collaboration with one of our many esteemed Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBAs).
Location: Kinnelon, NJ (Morris County)
RBT certified a plus (we will pay the fees if you're not certified and pass the RBT exam)
Schedule:
We have several cases in Hudson County seeking bilingual Spanish, and English-only speaking BTs in Jersey City, West New York, Bayonne, Secaucus, and Kearny. We have several cases in Union County seeking bilingual Spanish speaking and English-only speaking BTs in Clark and Elizabeth; We also have cases in Essex County and in Bergen County in Palisades Park, Ridgewood, Garfield, Cliffside, Edgewater, Woodcliff Lake, Hackensack, and Ridgefield Park. We also have cases in Passaic, Morris, Warren, Sussex, Middlesex, Somerset, and Mercer County each with their own schedule, with after school hours, and/or weekends.
Job Responsibilities:
· Provide in-home, and community-based Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy
· Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
· Be goal-oriented and maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work
Expectations:
- Study patient behavior and apply ABA principles
- Respond appropriately to different situations common among Autism patients and others with behavioral and developmental challenges
- Utilize key communication skills to provide effective feedback to patients
- Effectively communicate positive feedback to patients
- Be able to recognize and respond to critical improvements in patient behaviors.
- Become familiar with and use behavioral redirection techniques
- Know how to respond to negative behaviors appropriately
- Provide written documentation on each patient.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Master's degree in ABA, psychology, education, or related field of study
- Preferred Registered Behavior Technician certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Strong communication skills required
- Ability to work under high-stress situations
- Exhibits significant reliable habits, including timeliness and organizational skills
- Proven experience working with pre-school and elementary school-aged children
- Additional evidence of successful work with patients suffering from Autism and development issues
- Other experience, certificates, or qualifications as required by state
- Multilingual is a PLUS
