About the Job
We are looking for a dedicated In-House Attorney with at least 5 years of experience in employment law to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and defending against employment claims, particularly focusing on frivolous PAGA lawsuits, which are prevalent in our industry.
- Lead the legal strategies in response to claims and other employment-related litigation.
- Conduct thorough document reviews, searches, and production to ensure comprehensive case preparation.
- Collaborate closely with external legal advisors to determine litigation strategies, resolution, and settlement negotiations.
- Educate and advise company stakeholders on current employment litigation trends, potential legal risks, and legislative changes affecting the staffing industry.
- Manage cases independently through all phases of litigation including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, dispute resolution, and trials or hearings.
Requirements
- 5 years experience as an employment litigation attorney
- Licensed to practice law in California.
- Ability to manage a case from start to finish.
- Proven track record in litigation and dispute resolution, including trial/arbitration experience.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with various levels of the organization and to influence senior business leaders.
- J.D. Degree from an accredited law school.
