In Home Caregiver Ventura - Right at Home Ventura County

Right at Home of Ventura County is looking for caregivers to work with our clients in Oxnard, Ventura, Camarillo, Port Hueneme, Somis, Oak View, Ojai, New Burypark, Santa Paula or Fillmore.

Salary: $17 - $19/hour

Shift Type: Full-Time, Part-Time

Responsibilities and duties:

A caregiver provides the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with bathing, showering, dressing, shaving.
• Transferring/moving client from place to place throughout their home
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
• Light housekeeping which include: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry.
• Preparing meals and snacks 
• Safely drive client to errands or medical appointments
• Medication reminders
• Dementia or Alzheimer care

 Qualifications and skills:

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
• Six months of experience in human services preferred
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• A reliable, responsible attitude, compassionate approach and commitment 
• Have or be able to obtain a Home Care Aide certificate, which includes a background check
• Valid driver’s license or access to adequate transportation

Right at Home Ventura County has been proving care for adults in their homes for over 10 years. We provide training to the community about dementia through the Alzhiemer's Association, and are local and family owned.
