Currently we have an Import/Export Scheduler role open. As the Import/Export Scheduler, you will provide a seamless and effective delivery of imported whole goods and manufacturing parts to achieve production schedules and machine sales for the overall benefit of company plans and objectives.
Essential functions of the position include:
- Coordinate the customs clearance and delivery of whole goods and production parts for sales/marketing and manufacturing. Schedule port side loadings of machinery for direct discharge
- Monitor international documents for compliance with customs regulations, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Agriculture. Maintain import files on imported machines and parts to meet customs compliance regulations required by Importer of Record
- Provide information of sailings, arrivals, custom clearance to Transportation, Sales/Marketing so imported machines can be matched up with boom attachments and shipped to end-users
- Insure transfer of inventory from point of origin to point of storage or destination
- Compile shipping data in regards to freight tonnage, port of call, machine volumes for freight negotiations
- Communicate with shipping supervisor and PDC service parts manager with problems, situation or corrections made to parts shipments, inventory adjustments and/or corrections
- Cost analyses of freight charges to insure cost comply with freight contract and do not exceed budgeted freight cost. Provide information and assistance to the transportation administrator in processing domestic bills and freight payments, as well as other reporting data
- Classify new machinery parts with US Customs harmonizing numbers to insure the parts are classified accurately for proper duty cost as part of the importer of record requirements, country of origin and licensing requirements
- Assist the Logistics Scheduler with scheduling delivery of ocean containers and ocean shipments
- Monitor import/export documents for proper records retention compliance. Maintain and destroy documents per regulations and company policy
