Import Export Coordinator
You will analyze and process import/export orders and ensure on-schedule delivery and compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and company procedures. Additional responsibilities include compiling and maintaining documentation required to ensure that shipments occur efficiently and legally.
Essential Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end import/export operations including documentation and shipments
- Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of import and export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations
- Receive, reconcile, and gather import documentation and prepare submission for both air and ocean shipments working closely with the company’s brokerage partners in all ports of entry
- Track and trace international shipments from point of departure up to delivery and expedite movement of goods with carriers; update inventory location and bin in ERP
- Coordinate the import/export of shipments in a cost-effective manner while ensuring compliance with all U.S. and International trade and compliance regulations as well as company procedures.
- Execute and comply with C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) procedural requirements.
- Prepare international documents for shipments based on trade regulations, and payment terms including but not limited to letters of credit, filing tariffs, bill of ladings, license agreements, and miscellaneous correspondence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 6 to 12 months related experience, or equivalent combination
- Knowledge of standard regulations related to domestic and international protocols is preferred; C-TPAT knowledge a plus
- Knowledge of export and import management software and tools is desired
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Knowledge of customs processes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
