The Opportunity
The position of Implementation Project Manager is within our Abbott Point of Care (APOC) Division. It's a field-based role, overseeing/managing projects throughout the western United States, and will require regional travel up to 75%.
Abbott Point of Care is a global leader in providing critical medical diagnostic and informatics products for rapid blood analysis that are intuitive, reliable, and cost-effective. Our i-STAT System is an advanced, portable diagnostic tool that provides real-time, lab-quality results within minutes to accelerate patient-care decision-making as well as optimize resource utilization for our customers and the patients that they serve. The i-STAT System has the industry's most comprehensive menu of tests in a single, with-patient platform, including tests for respiratory, metabolic, coagulation, hematology, glucose, and cardiac function. By delivering lab-quality results in minutes, on just a few drops of blood, our i-STAT System fosters a collaborative, patient-centered environment while driving improved operational performance.
The Implementation Project Manager role is expected to
- Provide best-in-class project management skills and execute the associated tasks of implementing the company's portfolio of products.
- Engage with key account personnel to streamline current workflow processes and facilitate better patient care through our portfolio of products.
- Support the field sales team (Point of Care Sales Specialists) in delivering sales growth by driving implementation timelines.
- Develop innovative strategies to implement customer solutions at an expedited rate.
- Reinforce product value with existing customers to minimize declining business.
- Support Point of Care Sales Specialists pre-close on key opportunities.
What you'll work on
- Develop innovative strategies for expedited customer solution implementation.
- Lead implementation and integration of customer point-of-care solutions, aiming for a 60-day implementation to revenue timeline.
- Coordinate with customers and other resources for successful product adoption.
- Improve implementation efficiencies for large, high-priority, and complex projects.
- Develop and execute implementation strategies; lead cross-functional teams.
- Maximize cartridge utilization and deliver superior customer support.
- Understand customer needs and articulate POCT benefits.
- Demonstrate key product attributes and provide product demonstrations.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders.
- Complete administrative tasks promptly and accurately.
- Comply with EHS policies and maintain Quality System effectiveness.
- Adhere to and promote the Abbott Code of Business Conduct.
- Engage with key personnel to streamline customer processes and enhance patient care.
- Support field sales team post-close to Test of Record implementation.
- Support field sales during pre-close to drive territory growth.
- Protect key base business and support field sales to reduce business decline.
- Cultivate growth opportunities and support pre-close implementation activities.
- Make educational presentations to healthcare professionals on diagnostic trends.
- Travel up to 75% to support business goals.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Associate's degree with relevant experience acceptable.
- 1 year of healthcare industry experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 75%.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology related field.
- 3+ years in healthcare, with 1+ years in a clinical hospital position.
- 3 years of project management experience or demonstrated leadership.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrates leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Superior customer service background.

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 - $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
