About the Job
- Ensure Coherent Quality Standards are always met
- Knowledge of Ion Implant is mandatory
- Proficiency in running Ion Implant tools and understanding causes and effects of minor technical issues on product quality
- Monitor and respond to emails
- Ensure tools are qualified to run product in the morning
- Conduct morning and afternoon shift to shift pass-downs
- Communicating effectively with the Customer Service, Operations Manager, Engineering and Maintenance is crucial
- Schedule jobs on the implanters to ensure our cycle time numbers are met at the highest operating standard and quality
- Lead while continuing to run implanters
- Operator training
- 6S Coordination inside the fab
- Schedule the shifts to help meet our customer needs
- Monitoring the Hold Shelf
- Coordinating to resolve operational issues with all departments in a timely fashion and proliferating a teamwork culture
- Interacting and communicating with employees regularly to ensure good open two-way communication channels is always present
- Getting feedback from other Operators or Engineers regarding best practices
- Documenting any issues, mishaps, or suggestions for operational improvements
- Ability to deal with differences in opinions and resolve minor operators' issues
Education and Experience
- 8-10 Years in ion implant industry
Skills & Other Requirements
- Understanding of ion implant process
- Experience with running ion implant implanters
- Communication skills
- Working in a fast-paced environment
Working Environment
- Experience working in a cleanroom
Safety Requirements
All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow the site EHS procedures and II-VI Corporate EHS standards. This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities.
Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently. They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance.

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
