Job Title: Impact Investment Analyst
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Impact Investment Analyst to join our team. As an Impact Investment Analyst, you will play a key role in evaluating and managing investments that generate positive social and environmental impact alongside financial returns. Your role will involve conducting due diligence, analyzing investment opportunities, and monitoring portfolio performance to support our commitment to sustainable and responsible investing.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis on impact investment opportunities across various sectors, including renewable energy, healthcare, education, and social enterprises.
- Evaluate financial statements, business models, and market trends to assess the financial viability and impact potential of investment opportunities.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and investment memos to support investment decision-making and presentations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with investment teams, portfolio managers, and external partners to structure and execute impact investment transactions.
- Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, impact metrics, and social outcomes to ensure alignment with investment objectives and impact goals.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory developments, and impact measurement methodologies in sustainable finance and impact investing.
- Engage with stakeholders, including investors, nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations, to support collaboration and partnership in impact initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management and investors on impact investment activities and outcomes.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Environmental Studies, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) is preferred.
- Proven experience (X years) in impact investing, sustainable finance, or a related field, with a strong understanding of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria.
- Familiarity with impact measurement frameworks (e.g., IRIS, GIIN standards) and methodologies for assessing social and environmental impact.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis.
- Excellent research and due diligence capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and assess investment risks and opportunities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey impact investment strategies and outcomes to diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to ethical investing principles and sustainability goals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
