Job Details
As an Immigration Law Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys and assisting clients with various immigration matters. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of cases, including family-based petitions, employment-based petitions, deportation defense, and asylum and humanitarian applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intake interviews in English and Spanish and gather relevant documents.
- Provide written and verbal Spanish-English translation.
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions, applications, and appeals
- Research legal issues and stay updated on changes in immigration laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and case management systems.
- Communicate with clients, government agencies, and other relevant parties.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed.
Qualifications:
- Two or four-year degree and or paralegal certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in immigration law.
- Working knowledge of USCIS filing procedures and EOIR Courts and Appeals System (ECAS) preferred.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
