Job Details
We are currently seeking an Immigration Paralegal to join our team in Miami.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file a wide range of immigration applications and petitions
- Perform legal research and stay updated on changes in immigration laws and procedures.
- Draft legal documents such as affidavits, letters of support, and legal briefs.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and documents, and keep them informed about the progress of their cases.
- Liaise with government agencies such as USCIS, DOL, and DOS.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files, and track deadlines using case management software.
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and preparing witnesses for testimonies.
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys, such as scheduling meetings, answering phone calls, and managing correspondence.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with business immigration law.
- Demonstrated proficiency in drafting a variety of legal documents.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration law and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and One Drive.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in a second language is a plus, but not required.
