Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Immigration Litigator to join our legal team. As an Immigration Litigator, you will play a crucial role in representing immigrants, their families, and employers in various immigration-related cases. Your primary responsibilities will involve advocating for our clients in immigration court proceedings, handling appeals, and providing expert legal counsel on immigration matters.
Responsibilities:
Case Management: Manage a caseload of immigration cases, including removal defense, asylum, family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, and more.
Client Representation: Provide comprehensive legal representation to clients in immigration court, USCIS interviews, and other immigration-related proceedings.
Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong cases and stay updated on immigration laws and regulations.
Court Appearances: Appear in immigration court to represent clients in removal proceedings and other immigration hearings.
Appeals: Handle appeals and represent clients before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and federal appellate courts.
Consultations: Conduct client consultations to assess their eligibility for immigration relief and provide clear legal advice.
Documentation: Prepare and file immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation.
Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their cases.
Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the efficient handling of cases.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all ethical and legal standards while representing clients.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven experience as an Immigration Litigator with a strong track record of successful case outcomes.
In-depth knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and regulations.
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in languages other than English may be advantageous.
Compassion, empathy, and dedication to helping immigrants and their families.
