This is a full-time, hourly paid position with pay to be determined by years of experience. Open to hybrid-remote work for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate would require minimal training and be able to work without guidance
Candidates selected for an interview will be asked to perform a written assessment.
Duties:
- Utilize software to update and extract information
- Gather and review necessary client documents
- Prepare and complete applications and petitions under attorney supervision
- Communicate effectively with clients, staff, or outside agencies to resolve legal related issues
- Draft correspondence, edit, and file pleading with State and Federal courts
- Manage caseload and conduct research
- Respond to inquiries from current clients
- Ability to manage multiple projects under stress and strict deadlines
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of family-based petitions and Removal Proceedings (42B, 42A, AOS, Asylum, Bonds)
- Experience with USCIS, EOIR, and criminal court
- Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading skills, and meticulous attention to detail
- Bilingual: Fluent in both English & Spanish (speaking, reading and writing), required applicants will be tested for proficiency.
- Immigration Litigation Legal Assistant experience, required
- Administrative office experience preferred 1-2 years
Software: Microsoft Word, Excel Intermediate knowledge required
Microsoft Dynamics365, Sharepoint preferred but not required
