We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ICU RN for the night shift in our Intensive Care Unit. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse to join a dynamic and professional medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical care to patients, monitoring their conditions, and administering necessary treatments. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires the ability to work night shifts.
Responsibilities:
As an ICU RN, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Providing direct care to critically ill patients, including those with life-threatening injuries and illnesses.
2. Assessing patients' conditions and responding quickly to changes in their status.
3. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
4. Administering medications, managing ventilators, and providing other necessary treatments.
5. Monitoring patients' vital signs and maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
6. Educating patients and their families about their conditions and discussing their care options.
7. Ensuring that all medical equipment is functioning properly and reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
8. Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
1. A valid RN license in the state of employment.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an ICU RN or Critical Care RN.
3. Advanced knowledge of critical care and emergency medicine best practices.
4. Excellent patient care and clinical skills.
5. The ability to work under pressure and respond quickly in emergency situations.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.
8. Basic computer skills and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
9. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
10. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
