About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical ICU
Location: Fremont, NE
Shift: Night Shift (3x12 hours, 36 hours/week)
Start Date: 12/16/2024
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit: Medical Surgical ICU
Care Setting: Acute Care
Shift Notes: Every other weekend required
Experience Required:
- 2+ years of strong ICU and Med/Surg experience
- Preferred: Experience with Cerner Charting System
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
Common Diagnoses/Patient Types:
- CHF, COPD, Pneumonia, Diabetes, DKA, Weakness, Falls
Skills & Responsibilities:
- ICU RNs required to titrate drips
- Must read their own strips with tele tech support
- Techs: 1 tech for 2 RNs, additional mobility aides or Student Nurse Techs as staffing allows
- Charge Nurse: Typically available, some take assignments based on staffing
Equipment Available:
- Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, Vents
