Post-sale Responsibilities:
After successful presale activities, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform the installation, configuration, and overall maintenance of IBMi servers, including among other systems installs, infrastructure migrations, server relocations, operating system and software updates
- Power Server upgrades: disk, processor, memory, I/O adapters and Power server firmware upgrades
- Install and configure IBM Power server virtualization tools (PowerVM, HMC, VIOs and others)
- Implementation and support of High Availability (HA) solutions like Mimix and PowerHA.
- Tape library installation, configuration, and firmware upgrades, for both physical and virtual tape libraries
- Post-sale technical support, conducting product training, issue identification and resolution, and ownership of incident, problem, and change management for assigned tasks.
- Monitoring and maintaining IT infrastructure systems to ensure they remain operational and secure.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems as they arise, either independently or in collaboration with other IT professionals across the platforms like the IBM Cloud, and Linux.
- Perform administration on user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage assignment in accordance with best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify areas of continuous service improvement and contribute to ongoing projects as assigned.
- Maintaining inventory of installed software, hardware, and components on the IT Asset Management system
- Provide after hours support based on the scheduled rotation or as needed.

- Demonstrate technical leadership through teaching, coaching, and supporting other team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Effective collaboration with customer cross-functional teams, technical and sales staff, project management, and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions within the team to ensure a comprehensive understanding of systems and processes.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal knowledge repositories
- Actively contribute within the team and GHS through tangible contributions to process development, quality improvements, operational efficiency and other business improvement projects.
- Achieve and maintain advanced certifications in the products and technologies assigned to you

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Implementation, Operations and Support of IBM Power, IBMi systems
- Working knowledge of IBMi hardware, tape libraries, Virtual Tape Libraries (VTL)
- Proficiency in performing installation of OS upgrades
- Experience working with LPAR’s and HMC
- Familiarity working with IBM VIOS.
- Good understanding of system backup and recovery concepts.
- Knowledge of security and logging on IBMi.
- Knowledge of job management for IBM i
- Experience managing data replication and IBMi High Availability.
- Basic system security and networking concepts.
Additional expertise will be considered an asset:
- Certifications in Cloud Technologies and knowledge in PowerVS
- Experience working with SAN infrastructures, including SAN switches zoning, storage pools, volumes, and mapping
- Knowledge of software such as BRMS, Assure Security, Quick-EDD or PowerHA.
