About the Job
An iMPact Business Group Client is seeking to hire an experienced IBM iSeries RPG Programmer.
This role has flexibility for the work location including - Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, Wisconsin.
This position will participate in the ongoing development, enhancement, and support of RPG-based business systems.
This Client is firmly committed to the IBMi system environment with core business systems development using RPGLE.
This role may also get involved in implementing modern Web and Mobile front-end systems to the IBMi environment and this firm will provide training and support to assist an experienced RPG Developer to learn their Web and Mobile toolset.

Development work focuses on writing well-documented, clean, maintainable, and well-structured RPG code in an IBMi environment.
When Custom Development projects are done for end-customers of this firm, the RPG Programmer will work closely with other Departments to ensure that end customer goals/requirements are met.
Most projects have full SDLC duties assigned to a given Programmer, in some cases the RPG Programmer will work on a team-based initiative.
This role uses RPGLE including free-form with embedded SQL, other tools utilized include CLLE, DDL, and DDS. Experience with RDi is considered a nice to have skill.

- Minimum of a two-year College Degree or equivalent work-related experience is required.
- 5-10+ years Technology Industry background.
- 5-10+ years of varied programming experience with RPGLE, free-form, CLLE, DDL, SQL, and modular coding techniques.
- Basic understanding of system communication for use in data exchange/data transmissions.
- Experience RDi is considered nice to have.
