Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation (TAES) provides energy industry solutions – new equipment, retrofits, maintenance, outage planning and more – for current and future power generation needs in the Americas, including thermal, hydro and nuclear power plants.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Energy Aggregation Sales Manager (EASM). The position may be remote or local candidates may work in a hybrid arrangement out of the corporate office located in West Allis, WI (Milwaukee, WI). This role is part of a technical sales organization that secures sales for Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation’s (TAES) Marketing & Sales division’s Energy Aggregation product lines. The EASM will be responsible for originating and closing Energy Aggregation sales opportunities in North America. The EASM will interface regularly with the TAES Marketing & Sales team members to identify high sales potential opportunities and will develop appropriate strategies and capture plans to secure new bookings for TAES to meet budget objectives.
Essential Duties
- Act as a point of sales contact for customers representing TAES’s Energy Aggregation system, equipment, parts and service offerings.
- Update internal reports through TAES’s proprietary reporting systems and CRM.
- Ensure that the voice of the customer is effectively communicated within the TAES and HQ organization.
- Understand and manage customer’s requirements (feature, function, and benefit) that will put TAES in a lead position to secure new orders.
- Work with the TAES Marketing team to coordinate and support marketing efforts through events, conferences, social media, direct marketing and advertising.
- Work with TAES’s Field Sales Managers and Key Account Managers to pursue new business opportunities.
- Create plans and targeted project/product specific capture plans to clearly identify key information for the TAES Marketing & Sales leadership that will put TAES in the best position to win new orders.
- Build relationships with customers to help influence buying decisions at various levels in the customer’s organization.
- Lead approval activities on targeted projects to obtain internal approval for sales quotations.
- Identify specific resources to bring to customers for pre/post proposal events.
- Gain competitive feedback on lost opportunities.
- Develop strategies to help TAES secure long term service agreements with target customers.
- Provide presentations to various levels of customer organizations on TAES’s Energy Aggregation products and services (e.g., hydrogen, batteries, LTSAs, etc.).
- Review the TAES and Toshiba internal proposal process to ensure it is meeting customers’ expectations for quality, completeness, and schedule.
- Provide feedback of current and future customer requirements to Marketing & Sales leadership.
- Timely deliver reports (e.g., activity reports, trip reports, customer/competitor intel, etc.) to sales management.
Education and Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or technical discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed required sales results through self-motivated, high customer contact efforts.
- At least five (5) years OEM or power generation related sales experience required.
- Technical knowledge of renewable power systems necessary.
- Strong commercial skills required.
- Existing knowledge and experience of clients in a given territory a plus.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to negotiate and use expert judgment.
- Strong organizational and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and present directly to customers.
Certifications and Licenses
- Valid driver license required.
- Valid US passport required.
- PE License or PMP certification a plus.

The employee must able to lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to drive an automobile.
Work Environment
The majority of this work takes place in an office or home office and the work environment is that of a typical office environment. A significant portion of time will be spent in customers’ offices and plant locations. Occasional travel to the West Allis (Milwaukee) HQ is anticipated. On occasion the employee may interact with personnel in a power plant or manufacturing shop where he/she may be exposed to extremes in temperature and where the environment is frequently loud.
