Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with established GAAP standards and company policies.
2. Manage the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual tax returns.
3. Perform WIP (Work In Progress) accounting, tracking costs and revenues associated with ongoing projects.
4. Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts.
5. Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
6. Participate in the preparation for annual audits.
7. Collaborate with the sales team to understand and monitor client contracts and billing.
8. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process.
9. Ensure financial records for each department are up to date.
10. Assist in other accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting.
3. Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
4. Proficiency in WIP accounting and financial reporting.
5. Experience in preparing and submitting tax returns.
6. Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
9. Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or similar.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
